X Integrates Trading Option into Cashtags

X has added a 'Trade' option to its Cashtags feature, allowing U.S. users to move directly from conversations about stocks and cryptocurrencies on the social platform to participating brokerage and exchange platforms.

The company launched its U.S. Cashtag Partner Program on September 15 with five initial partners: Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Coinbase, Kraken, and Gemini. The integration covers traditional securities as well as digital assets.

Cashtags now display an asset page containing price charts, market information, and related posts. A new Trade button lets users select a participating provider before being redirected to that company's app or website.
