X Launches Cashtag Trading Feature with Major Brokerages

X has launched its Cashtag Partner Program in the United States, connecting cashtags to five brokerage platforms. The program allows users to trade assets directly from X without leaving the platform.

The launch partners include Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Interactive Brokers, and Moomoo, with each platform offering different asset lists and identity verification rules. For example, only crypto-focused exchanges are participating as part of this initial rollout.

Tapping on a supported ticker will display a price chart and related posts, along with a new 'Trade' button. Selecting the trade option brings up a list of participating platforms, from which users can select one to redirect them to that firm's app or website for placing the order.
