X Sues Alleged Bitcoin Influencer Network Over $270k Revenue Manipulation Scheme

X, a popular social media platform, has sued two individuals and several unnamed account operators in England over alleged manipulation of engagement on Bitcoin-focused accounts. The company claims that the defendants formed a coordinated network to artificially inflate views and earnings through its Creator Revenue Sharing Program.

The lawsuit, filed on September 17 in the High Court of England and Wales, alleges that six primary accounts enrolled in the program between August 2023 and February 2026 were involved in the scheme. X identifies the accounts as @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @saylordocs, @TrendingBitcoin, @Kalshibacktest, and @PolyBackTest.

X claims that the defendants supplied misleading information through associated payment accounts and used overlapping devices, software clients, cookies, and other identifiers to conceal their scheme. The company alleges that the coordinated network obtained at least £207,384 in payments through the Creator Revenue Sharing Program.

X suspended the accounts on August 18 for alleged coordinated revenue-sharing fraud and platform manipulation, citing a breach of its terms of service. The company is seeking repayment of the disputed funds, damages, and equitable or restitutionary compensation, among other remedies.
