X Sues Bitcoin Influencers for Alleged Revenue Manipulation

X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp have filed a lawsuit in the UK High Court against Bitcoin influencers Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa, alleging that they manipulated engagement metrics to fraudulently obtain at least £207,384 from the Creator Revenue Sharing Program.

The lawsuit claims that multiple accounts were coordinated to publish identical content, artificially boosting engagement metrics and violating platform rules. This case highlights growing concerns over engagement manipulation in social media practices, particularly within the cryptocurrency space.

X suspended the influencers' accounts on August 18, prior to the legal filing. The company seeks damages, interest, and the return of funds obtained fraudulently, with estimated investigative costs exceeding £75,000.
