X Sues Bitcoin Influencers Over Alleged £207,384 Creator Revenue Fraud
X Corp., the parent company of X, has filed a lawsuit against Bitcoin influencers Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa in the UK High Court. The lawsuit alleges that the two influencers coordinated their accounts to post similar content and artificially boost likes and reposts on the Creator Revenue Sharing Program.
According to the complaint, this coordinated effort earned at least £207,384 for the influencers through the program, which X suspended on August 18. X is seeking repayment of these funds, as well as damages, interest, and legal costs estimated at £75,000.
The lawsuit also includes investigation and remediation costs, bringing the total amount sought to £282,384. The case highlights concerns about potential manipulation of social media platforms for financial gain.
