X Sues Suspects of $278K Engagement Manipulation Scam

X has filed a lawsuit in the High Court of England and Wales against three individuals suspected of manipulating engagement on its platform to obtain at least $278,000 from creator revenue-sharing payouts.

The company alleges that Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa coordinated multiple Bitcoin-focused accounts to artificially boost engagement through reposting, liking, and identical or substantially similar posts.

X claims the network of accounts created a 'false appearance of genuine, human communication and interaction' to deceive its revenue-sharing program.
