X Sues Two UK Men Over Alleged $277K Crypto Payout Scheme
X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, has filed a lawsuit against two UK men over an alleged $277K crypto payout scheme. The scheme involved a network of crypto-focused accounts coordinating their activity and engagement to generate payouts from X's Creator Revenue Sharing program.
The alleged scheme worked as follows: multiple accounts liked, reposted, and replied to one another and posted similar content to boost engagement. According to the lawsuit, six principal accounts were involved: @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @saylordocs, @TrendingBitcoin, @Kalshibacktest, and @PolyBackTest.
X alleges that these accounts received more than £207,000 in Creator Revenue Sharing payouts between August 2023 and February 2026. The company also claims that the accounts were working together, posting identical content within minutes of each other.
