X Taps into Financial Conversation with Integrated Trade Button

X, led by Elon Musk, has integrated a trade button into its platform, allowing users to move directly from discussing assets to executing trades with participating brokers and exchanges.

The feature, which is currently available for US users, enables them to tap on supported symbols such as $BTC or $TSLA, view a live price chart and related posts, and then select the 'Trade' option. This redirects them to one of five launch partners - Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken, or Coinbase - where they can log in, open an account if necessary, and complete the transaction.

X itself does not execute trades or hold customer accounts, as execution, identity checks, and other account requirements remain with the participating financial firm. This structure allows X to occupy a valuable part of the trading funnel without replicating the full regulatory and operational infrastructure required to run a brokerage or exchange.
