XAO DAO Targets Broader Participation with Governance Upgrades
XAO DAO, a governance organization for the XRP Ledger (XRPL), is planning to implement major changes over the next two to three months to boost community participation.
The proposed upgrades include allowing members to delegate voting power, adjusting quorum rules, and introducing community mini-grants.
XAO DAO's co-founder, Fabio Marzella, emphasized that these changes aim to create a more representative and active community, rather than simply having a vote.
The planned delegation system would enable members to hand over their voting power to others when they lack the time or expertise to vote on individual proposals.
XAO DAO is also reviewing its quorum requirements, including how inactive wallets count toward proposal thresholds, to prevent inactive participation from blocking decisions.
Marzella noted that funding developers alone does not solve the problem of building lasting businesses, citing the shutdown of Gen3's retail platforms as an example.
