XRP Asia Launches to Drive Growth and Adoption in Asia
XRP Asia has launched to promote the adoption of the XRP Ledger across Asia. The organization is led by President Sabrina Tachdjian, who joins from the Hedera Foundation, where she served as VP of Fintech & Payments. Tachdjian will make her first major public appearance at an event in Seoul on October 3, 2026, during Korea Blockchain Week, where she will discuss cross-border payments and tokenized deposits.
The XRP Ledger is set to undergo protocol upgrades, named Batch and Permission Delegation, in early October 2026. These upgrades aim to improve the performance and scalability of the ledger. Japan already has a head start in adopting the XRP Ledger, with SBI Ripple Asia, a joint venture between SBI Holdings and Ripple, having been registered under Japan's Fund Settlement Act in March 2026.
The launch of XRP Asia and the upcoming protocol upgrades demonstrate a growing institutional interest in the XRP Ledger in Asia. The organization's efforts are expected to drive growth and adoption of the XRP Ledger across the region.
