XRP Asia Unveils Regional Plans at XRP Seoul Event Amid Price Decline
XRP Asia made its regional plans known at the XRP Seoul event on October 3, bringing together Ripple executives and Korean banking representatives to discuss cross-border payments and tokenized deposits.
The event, held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, included a speaker list featuring representatives from Woori Bank, Kakao Bank, Kbank, and JB Bank. Sessions covered topics such as cross-border payments and tokenized deposits, which represent a bank balance recorded digitally on a blockchain, allowing banks to explore new ways to transfer and manage money.
The organizer clarified that participation in the event did not establish any partnership, affiliation, or cooperative relationship between the participating parties. However, the event brought together banking representatives and blockchain developers to discuss potential collaboration and adoption of XRP Ledger across Asia.
XRP's price fell 3.22% to USD 1.48 over 24 hours as exchange supply increased and traders reduced leveraged positions.
