XRP Bounces Back After Senate Vote, But Will It Last?
XRP has managed to bounce back from its recent losses after the Senate vote on the CLARITY Act, which would have classified XRP as a commodity under US law. Despite this setback, XRP's price has risen by 8% since August 22 and is currently trading at $1.58, up 3.5% in the past 24 hours.
The failed Senate vote caused XRP's price to drop from $1.70 to $1.25 on September 15, but it quickly recovered and has now regained everything lost after the vote. Those who bought XRP at its lowest point of $1.25 are enjoying a 26% increase.
While some analysts believe that this recovery may be driven by short covering rather than new investment, others see it as a sign that XRP is gaining momentum. The XRP Ledger's Batch amendment is now in its countdown phase, and the SEC has approved Nasdaq Texas to list XRP in commodity trusts.
However, experts warn that this recovery may be short-lived if it doesn't attract new buyers and replace the short sellers who drove the recent spike. Key support lies around $1.53, about 3% below the current price, and a close below this level could indicate that the rebound isn't sustainable.
