XRP Bounces Back as Spot Buying Increases Amid New Sports Partnership
XRP is showing signs of a healthy price recovery as spot buying increases and leverage remains below its previous local peak. According to crypto analyst Cryptoinsightuk, XRP has climbed above its Aug. 30 local price high while open interest, measured in both dollar and XRP terms, remains below the levels recorded at that previous peak.
This 'higher high on lower open interest' setup could suggest XRP's latest advance is relying less on leverage than the previous rally, potentially leaving the market less vulnerable to a derivatives-driven unwind. Open interest has started rising, while positive funding rates suggest positioning remains tilted toward longs.
In other news, Ripple has struck a new partnership with Florida Athletics, which will see the XRP logo prominently displayed at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and across digital properties starting from the 2026 Florida football season. University of Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said this reflects Florida's history of embracing innovation and technology.
Ripple will also support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the wider campus community, covering traditional finance and digital assets.
