XRP Braces for Historically Weak October Amid Strong Institutional Demand
XRP (XRP) is entering October 2026 after a strong third quarter where it gained 48%, its best Q3 in four years. However, despite this growth, XRP still trades 59% below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.65.
The token's fundamentals are currently facing headwinds as October is historically a weak month for XRP, with an average loss of 5.14%. The Federal Reserve rate hike on October 27-28 also adds to the uncertainty.
On the other hand, strong institutional demand remains a driving force behind XRP's price action. US spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) hold about 1.16 billion XRP, worth roughly $1.76 billion, with cumulative net inflows reaching a record near $1.68 billion.
Ripple hosts its Swell conference in New York from October 27 to 29, which may also impact the token's price action.
