XRP Breaks Year-Long Falling Channel But Ichimoku Cloud Blocks Path to $2.0191
XRP has broken above its year-long falling channel but still faces significant resistance from the weekly Ichimoku Cloud. The breakout, which occurred in August 2026 and involved a 53% price increase, ended a period of more than a year where XRP traded within the descending structure.
The cryptocurrency now trades at $1.5138 and has moved above two key Ichimoku lines that provide support, but remains below the weekly cloud's lower boundary. The breakout has improved XRP's mid-term chart structure, and the +DI is still above the -DI, indicating stronger buying pressure.
However, the ADX has been declining since its peak in August 2026, suggesting that the bullish trend is cooling. To confirm a new uptrend, XRP must first move above the cloud's lower boundary before it can challenge the $2.0191 Senkou Span B level.
