XRP Consolidation Nears Critical Breakout Point
XRP is currently consolidating around $1.50 after a strong rebound from the $1.00 support level. The broader market structure has improved, but buyers are facing challenges in overcoming the key resistance zone. The critical question is whether XRP can break through the $1.70 resistance or if another pullback toward support is imminent.
The daily chart shows a significant recovery from the $1.00 support zone. XRP surged higher in August, reclaiming both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages. The 100-day MA is now around $1.25, while the 200-day MA is at $1.28. A bullish crossover between these averages could signal further upward momentum. The main resistance lies between $1.60 and $1.70, with a daily close above $1.70 potentially opening the door to $2 and beyond.
On the downside, the $1.25-$1.30 region is crucial, containing the 100-day and 200-day moving averages. As long as XRP remains above this support area, the recovery structure remains intact. A loss of this support could lead to a deeper decline toward $1.00, reversing recent gains.
The 4-hour chart shows XRP trading within a tightening range beneath a descending trendline. Immediate resistance is around $1.70, followed by the $2 supply zone. A breakout above the trendline and subsequent move through $1.70 would strengthen the bullish case. Conversely, a loss of the $1.45 support zone could weaken the short-term structure, potentially leading to a retracement toward $1.30 or lower.
