XRP ETF Inflows Fall Short of Predicted $4 Billion to $8 Billion Target
JPMorgan and Standard Chartered made bold predictions in 2025 about the potential inflows for XRP ETFs, estimating between $4 billion to $8 billion within six to twelve months of launching. However, the funds have only attracted around $1.5 billion since their launch in November 2025.
The forecasts were based on the assumption that investors who bought Bitcoin's ETFs would also invest in XRP's funds. However, this proved to be an incorrect assumption as many institutional buyers stayed away due to regulatory uncertainty surrounding XRP's status as a commodity under federal law.
While some months saw significant inflows, such as May when the CLARITY Act looked closest to passing, the overall trend has been downward. As of now, the funds hold just $988.78 million, with about a third of everything invested being lost on paper due to XRP's price decline.
While Ripple believes that allocations made in a down market will scale up when conditions improve, many analysts have already cut their 2026 XRP price forecasts, including Standard Chartered which reduced its forecast from $8 to $2.80.
