The XRP ETF market is celebrating its first anniversary this month. On September 18, 2025, the REX-Osprey XRP ETF (Cboe: XRPR) launched as the earliest U.S. fund to offer spot-style exposure to XRP, two months before a wave of pure spot products followed in November.

The two pioneers have since been left behind by seven U.S. spot XRP ETFs that now trade with combined assets of $1 billion and 1.1 billion XRP locked. XRPR held $49.81 million in fund assets as of September 9, while XRPI reports $140.38 million in assets under management.

XRP itself is having a strong day, up 6.94% to $1.386 on Friday, after the SEC's five-year Innovation Exemption for tokenized stock trading reversed some of the damage from the Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act.

XRPR and XRPI have not had an easy first year. XRPR's net asset value fell 65.81% from inception through June 30, while XRPI posted a total return of -47.74% over the same period.
