XRP Faces Historic Weakness as Price Ties to $1.70
XRP's third quarter saw its best performance in four years, gaining 48% and reaching a Q3 high. However, this growth comes at a time when XRP faces historically weak market conditions.
Strong institutional demand is evident in the form of US spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which hold about 1.16 billion XRP, worth approximately $1.76 billion. Cumulative net inflows reached a record near $1.68 billion according to XRP Insights.
Despite this momentum, XRP has historically struggled in October, with an average loss of 5.14% and lower closing prices in both 2024 and 2025. The upcoming Federal Reserve rate hike decision and Ripple's Swell conference may also impact the token's price.
