XRP Faces Pivotal Week Ahead
XRP is heading into a pivotal week with four major events that could impact its price and direction. The asset is currently trading near $1.58 and has seen a 16.2% increase in value this week.
The first event is XRP Seoul, which is set to take place on October 3. This conference will bring together banks, financial institutions, and Ripple teams to discuss the use of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for cross-border payments and other financial services. RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, has recently surpassed a $2 billion market cap.
Just four days later, on October 7, the planned acquisition of Evernorth by Ripple-linked entities is scheduled to be completed. Evernorth operates in digital infrastructure and asset management, and its integration could add institutional custody and real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure to the broader ecosystem.
The week will conclude with the XRPL mainnet upgrade, which is set to take place on October 9. This upgrade includes improvements linked to multi-signature verification and decentralized verifier networks (DVNs).
According to technical analyst Dark Defender, a break above the $1.60 resistance level could open targets at $1.88 and $2.90. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have also seen 11 straight weeks of inflows, with cumulative inflows exceeding $1.79 billion.
