XRP Faces Uphill Battle to Reach Year-End Targets
XRP's recent surge of 46% over three months has investors wondering how high it can go by the end of 2026. Despite this increase, XRP is still down 17% for the year and has declined by 46% compared to last year.
The comeback for XRP was notable, with a 42% rise over just the last two months, driven by buyers returning to the market after a challenging year. However, momentum has diminished recently, with XRP's price only increasing by 10% in the past month.
Ripple continues to release new XRP into circulation, up to 1 billion coins from escrow each month. Buyers must absorb these additional coins before any significant price climb can occur.
XRP has to climb 21% just to finish 2026 flat, and its first challenge lies at $1.70, the peak from August, about 11% higher than its current price. Realistically, XRP could aim for a price range between $1.75 and $2 by the year's end.
