XRP Forms Golden Cross Against BTC, But Timing Sparks Doubt
XRP has formed a golden cross against Bitcoin, but some are questioning whether this is the right time to buy. A golden cross occurs when the short-term moving average crosses above the long-term moving average, and in this case, the MA 50 on the 4-hour chart crossed above the MA 200.
This bullish signal coincided with a drop in XRP/BTC's 4-hour chart, marking six consecutive red candlesticks. However, despite this, XRP has been outperforming Bitcoin over the short-term, rising since September 16 and surpassing major moving averages on both the 4-hour and daily charts.
XRP reached a high of $1.65 on September 25, coinciding with the strongest high-value activity in about a month, including 1,917 whale transactions worth $100,000 and network growth spiking to 3,647 new XRP wallets.
