XRP Healthcare Implodes After Devastating Hack and Criticism from Ripple Veterans
XRP Healthcare has ceased operations after a devastating hack drained over $452,000 from its wallets. The startup's management cited the prolonged bear market and unsuccessful attempt to secure a public listing as contributing factors.
However, former developers associated with Ripple, including Matt Hamilton and Vet Goose, stated that the collapse of XRP Healthcare was only a matter of time due to critical risks and questionable operational practices.
An investigation revealed that the vulnerability was not related to the security of the XRP Ledger itself but rather in XRP Healthcare's application code. The flaw generated seed phrases with low entropy, allowing hackers to reconstruct private keys offline.
