XRP Heist: D'CENT Wallet Hacked for $12.4M in 10-Day Scam
The D'CENT App Wallet has been breached, resulting in the theft of approximately 12.4 million XRP from 7,393 wallets over a 10-day period from September 15 to September 25.
The attackers exploited compromised private keys, with the first wave occurring on September 15, draining around 3.6 million XRP from 1,682 wallets in under three hours.
Roughly half of the stolen funds has already been laundered through cross-chain swaps using THORChain, a decentralized protocol that doesn't require user identification.
