XRP Investors Face Double-Digit Losses Amid Ongoing Bear Market
XRP investors who took a chance at the start of 2026 are counting a significant loss after the token's price plummeted by over 45% so far this year. According to available data, $1,000 invested in XRP on January 1 would now be worth around $543.47, resulting in a decline of $456.53.
The bear market for XRP is attributed to the ongoing crypto downturn, which has been exacerbated by the delayed passage of the CLARITY Act in the United States. Despite improved fundamentals for the token, its price has been negatively impacted by heightened selling pressure.
However, there are signs that the tide may be turning in favor of XRP investors. Renewed demand for the token through spot and derivatives markets could reduce near-term selling pressure, while continued growth in XRPL tokenization bids may also contribute to a potential price recovery.
