XRP Ledger Awaits October Launch of Critical Batch Update

Ripple's XRP Ledger is preparing to implement a crucial update called Batch V1.1, which could go live as early as October 9, 2026.

The update was paused temporarily due to a technical hiccup, but the two-week approval process has restarted and the countdown has begun anew with the clock reset to zero.

Batch is a feature on the Ledger that allows for multiple transactions to be processed in one go, using a 'all or nothing' approach. This means that if any of the transactions fail, all of them will be rolled back.

RippleX, the company behind XRP, showcased its new infrastructure upgrades designed for institutional usage at the XRP Seoul event.
