XRP Ledger Batch Upgrade Delayed by 10 Days Amid Validator Support Fluctuations
The XRP Ledger's Batch upgrade, initially set to activate on September 29, has been delayed by at least ten days. The feature, which allows users to submit up to eight transactions together, had previously encountered a critical signature-checking flaw and was withdrawn before its first activation.
A second attempt at introducing the feature, which is now called BatchV1_1, was shipped in August with version 3.3.0 of the software that runs the ledger. To activate it, more than 80% of trusted validators must support it for two consecutive weeks.
The current level of support has been regained by the Batch feature after briefly falling below the required threshold on September 25. With the support now back above 80%, the earliest activation date is set at October 9, around 14:46 UTC, assuming that the votes hold.
