XRP Ledger Fix BatchV1_2 Set for October 2026 Activation
The XRP Ledger is set to activate a critical fix, fixBatchV1_2, on October 9, 2026, following full validator consensus. XRPScan confirms that all validators support the amendment, with no objections, marking it ready for activation at 2:12 PM UTC on the specified date.
The fixBatchV1_2 amendment addresses a bug in the ledger's Batch feature, which bundles multiple transactions into a single package. The original Batch feature was disabled due to flaws, and this fix ensures that inner transactions within a Batch have the correct wrapper, enhancing security and reliability.
This update is part of the xrpld 3.4.1 emergency release, which focuses on security-sensitive issues. The amendment's activation is not guaranteed, as validator support must remain above 80% until the ledger crosses the activation threshold. If support drops, the amendment will be rejected and the 14-day timer will reset.
Other amendments, including BatchV1_1 and PermissionDelegationV1_1, are also nearing activation, with their own countdowns set for early October 2026. The ledger's development pipeline includes nine amendments still gathering votes and 94 already activated, highlighting the continuous evolution of the XRP Ledger.
