XRP Ledger Mainnet Upgrades with Critical Batch Feature in Five Days
The XRP Ledger mainnet is set to receive an upgrade in just five days. The Batch V1.1 amendment, which includes a fixed implementation of Batch in xrpld v3.3.0, will be deployed on October 9, 2026. This activation date was delayed due to a minor issue with the fix included in the xrpld 3.4.1 release.
The XRP community temporarily rejected the amendment to restart the two-week activation window, but ultimately flipped their votes to allow Batch to launch simultaneously with its fix update.
Batch (XLS-56) enables multiple XRPL transactions from multiple accounts to be executed atomically in a single ledger close. If an inner transaction fails, the entire batch is rolled back.
This feature is required or serves as an accelerant for several high-value XRPL use cases already under contract or in active pipeline, such as atomic multi-party settlements.
The permission delegation amendment is expected to arrive on the mainnet in the next four days, on October 8, 2026. The XRP Ledger architecture is undergoing rigorous upgrades to handle growing demand for complex financial operations on-chain.
