XRP Ledger Nears Activation for Batch V1.1 Amendment Amid Security Rebuild
The XRP Ledger is on the cusp of activating its Batch V1.1 amendment after a security rebuild following a critical flaw in the original version.
RippleX developer Mayukha Vadari explained that the revised code has undergone extensive review, including senior engineering review, adversarial testing, two external security reviews, and AI-assisted analysis before its current validator vote.
The original Batch V1.0 had a signature-validation bug, which could have allowed malicious actors to execute transactions on behalf of other accounts without their private keys.
Batch V1.1 removed this flaw and addressed several other issues found during the rebuild.
