XRP Ledger Payment Volume Surges Past 900 Million Threshold
The XRP Ledger payment volume surged to 929 million XRP on September 29, a one-day jump of 35.1% that broke the 900 million threshold in just 24 hours.
This significant increase in activity pushed the payment volumes well above the 30-day average of roughly 615 million and was one of the stronger results of the last few weeks, despite XRP's price drifting lower at the time.
However, since then, the payment volume has slipped to 708.6 million XRP, down 23.8% over 24 hours, though it remains above the updated 30-day average of 624.2 million.
The price action of XRP has not mirrored the on-chain strength, with the cryptocurrency trading at $1.48, down from its $1.66 high reached in late September, and recent candles showing a steady run of lower highs on fading volume.
