XRP Ledger Payment Volume Surges to Over 1.1 Billion XRP
XRP Ledger payment volume has surged to over 1.1 billion XRP, more than double the 30-day average of 494.6 million XRP. This significant increase in activity suggests that a substantial amount of value is moving across the XRP Ledger compared to typical activity over the past month.
Successful transactions have climbed 11.2% to 1.5 million, while total XRPL transactions increased by 23.9% to 2.2 million. The network also recorded approximately 757,400 payments and 18,700 active accounts, with the latter rising 21.5%. Transactions per ledger have also increased by 24.1%.
However, while the data presents a mixed picture for XRP Ledger adoption, it appears that the surge in payment volume may be partly due to larger or more frequent transactions among existing participants rather than broad-based user growth. Active users dropped 17.3% to about 155,300, indicating a potential decrease in new users joining the network.
XRP is currently trading near $1.32 after falling from around $1.42 and testing support between $1.28 and $1.30. Buyers have defended this area so far, allowing the cryptocurrency to stage a modest rebound. XRP's price movement is closely tied to its increasing payment volume, with stronger transaction activity providing an additional fundamental signal for traders.
