XRP Ledger Prepares for Major Upgrade with Batch V1.1 Launch
The XRP Ledger is on track for a major upgrade with Batch V1.1 set to launch on its mainnet in just five days, on October 9, 2026. This update aims to improve upon previous Batch implementation fixes delivered in xrpld version 3.3.0, marking an important milestone for the XRP community.
Batch, also known as XLS-56, enables atomic execution of multiple XRPL transactions from various accounts in a single ledger close. Its introduction is seen as a catalyst for more complex use cases and broader institutional adoption. The amendment process on the XRP Ledger requires at least two weeks of ongoing support from more than 80% of trusted validators to proceed.
The activation timing changed after Batch originally reached a majority and was planned for September 29, 2026. However, the process was delayed when the amendment was temporarily rejected and the two-week activation window was restarted.
