XRP Ledger Releases Emergency Update for Critical Batch Function Fix

XRP Ledger's Reference Server Implementation 'xrpld' Has Received an Emergency Update to Fix a Critical Issue in its Batch Processing Function.

The update, version 3.4.1, addresses several security and stability issues, including the problematic batch function that was previously disabled due to critical errors.

A new amendment, fixBatchV1_2, has been added to the xrpld software to rectify a new issue identified in BatchV1_1, which had itself replaced the earlier problematic batch function. The XRP Ledger Operations team assured users that no funds have been lost due to this issue.

The update is recommended for all validators and node operators as soon as possible. However, the new amendment will not be activated immediately; it needs 80% support from trusted validators over a period of two weeks before it can be enabled on the XRP Ledger network.
