XRP Ledger Releases xrpld v3.4.0 with New Lending Features

The XRP Ledger has released a new version of its server software, xrpld v3.4.0, which introduces LendingProtocolV1_1 and several bug fixes.

This update marks a significant step forward in the development of the ledger's lending infrastructure, with closed-ended vaults and cash-basis accounting now supported.

Closed-ended vaults operate across defined phases covering subscription, investment, and redemption, determining when assets can enter the vault, when loans can be originated, and when users can redeem their assets.

The new version of xrpld is available for node operators to upgrade to, but it's worth noting that shipping a new xrpld version does not automatically activate every feature included in it. The amendment process requires validator consensus before protocol changes become enabled.
