XRP Ledger Seeks Second Chance at Permission Delegation Upgrade

The XRP Ledger is attempting to deploy permission delegation for institutional payments after a previous version was halted due to a security issue.

A revised amendment, PermissionDelegationV1_1, has entered its 14-day activation countdown on September 21 and requires the support of more than 80% of validators for two consecutive weeks to activate. This support must remain above the threshold throughout the waiting period.

The upgrade is projected to activate on October 5, provided that backing remains above 80% for the full period. If support drops below the required level, the activation condition will not be satisfied and the projected date will pass without the amendment taking effect.
