XRP Ledger Sees 323% Surge in New Account Creation Amid Price Volatility
The XRP Ledger network has seen a significant surge in new account creation, with 11,432 new accounts activated throughout September. This marks a 323% increase over the preceding 30-day average of just 2,700 new accounts.
This jump in account activations is one of the most pronounced increases for XRP Ledger over the past year, with the number of new accounts remaining below the all-time high of 30,600 and a recent peak of around 15,000 recorded earlier in 2026.
The cause behind this surge remains unclear, but it may be associated with exchange infrastructure upgrades, wallet migrations, increased onboarding through new applications, or surges in speculative market activity. Analysts note that the increase alone cannot be interpreted as a direct indicator of renewed buying interest or solid uptick in broader XRP demand.
