XRP Ledger Sees 386 Percent Payment Volume Rebound
The XRP Ledger has seen a dramatic resurgence in activity, with payment volume spiking 386% in the latest 24-hour period. This surge brings daily payment volume to approximately 583.3 million XRP, marking a rapid recovery from an unusually low base. While this figure is slightly below the 30-day average of roughly 638 million XRP, it signals a return to more typical levels of network activity.
Historically, the XRP Ledger has experienced significant volatility in payment volume, with daily figures often exceeding one billion XRP and occasionally surpassing two billion XRP. The all-time high stands near seven billion XRP, placing the current reading within a normal range despite the sharp rebound. The key question now is whether this recovery can be sustained, with volumes consistently above the 30-day average indicating a genuine acceleration in transactional activity.
Meanwhile, the price of XRP remains stable at around $1.51, consolidating after a breakout in September that saw it rise from approximately $1.30 to $1.60. Recent price action has formed a tight range between $1.48 and $1.53, with several unsuccessful attempts to resume the rally. Technically, XRP is holding strong, trading above its short-term moving average of $1.45 and comfortably above longer-term averages around $1.35, $1.40. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) suggests a neutral-to-bullish market, with no signs of overheating.
For XRP to continue its upward momentum, it needs to reclaim the $1.55 level before challenging the major resistance zone of $1.60, $1.65. Conversely, a drop below $1.45 could weaken the current setup. While the 386% payment-volume recovery is a positive on-chain signal, one day of strong activity does not establish a trend. Sustained volumes above the 30-day average would provide stronger confirmation of genuine growth in XRP Ledger activity.
