$XRP Ledger Sees Catastrophic Collapse in RWA Transfer Volume
The XRP Ledger's transfer volume for Real World Assets (RWA) has plummeted by over 96% in the past 30 days, according to data from RWA.xyz. The sharp decline coincided with a 13% decrease in network activity and a 4% sell-off in $XRP price.
The XRP Ledger's 30-day RWA transfer volume fell from $581.5 million on July 3 to just $18.15 million on August 3, while the number of RWA holders increased by 23%, reaching 197 at press time.
This decline in trading activity for real-world assets over the past 30 days could be associated with a lower issuance of tokenized assets by institutions, despite continued growth in $XRP Ledger tokenization. The Distributed Asset Value, which tracks RWA tokens already distributed on the XRP Ledger, declined by 4.51% to $378.76 million at the time of publication.
