XRP Ledger Sees Major Upgrade for Performance and Stability
The XRP Ledger network has received a major software upgrade to improve its efficiency and stability. The update, version 3.4.0, brings numerous performance improvements, bug fixes, and protocol changes.
One of the notable changes is designed to help XRP Ledger servers stay up-to-date by pausing online deletion when gaps in transaction history are detected. This should prevent nodes from falling behind while cleaning old data.
The update also includes optimizations for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) and fixes to make the ledger more resistant to unusual inputs and edge cases. Developers have modernized parts of the codebase, replaced older software libraries, and improved testing infrastructure.
