XRP Ledger Sees Surge in Stablecoin Transfer Volume, RLUSD Dominance Grows
The XRP Ledger has seen a significant increase in stablecoin transfer volume over the past 30 days, reaching $4.28 billion, an 10.8% rise. This surge is largely driven by the growth of Ripple's RLUSD, which now dominates the network with a market capitalization of $872 million and a 94% share.
The increase in transfer volume indicates stronger network activity, as stablecoins are being used more frequently rather than sitting idle in wallets. This growing use case can improve liquidity across the ecosystem, support decentralized finance applications, and encourage developers to build on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple's strategy of reducing RLUSD supply on Ethereum and increasing it on the XRP Ledger has been successful, with the network now holding 55% of RLUSD's total supply. The stablecoin has made impressive progress since its launch in December 2024, with Ripple burning $1.15 billion worth of RLUSD on Ethereum while minting $1.2 billion on the XRP Ledger.
