The XRP Ledger has experienced an unexpected boost in stability, according to David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer Emeritus at Ripple. His private hub node logged 501 active peers on September 17, 2026, nearing its two-week peak of 509 connections.
Schwartz shared telemetry records indicating a systematic reduction in peer disconnect rates between September 3 and 17, 2026. He noted that his own network node has become more stable and reliable during this period, with fewer peer disconnects.
Despite the improvement, Schwartz couldn't pinpoint the cause of the change, stating 'I'm not sure of the cause, but I'll take it.' The executive's telemetry charts show a small gap or glitch around September 15-16, which he attributed to monitoring issues only.
