XRP Ledger Set for Tokenization Boost with Public Blockchain Dominance
Ripple President Monica Long recently participated in a session at the Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul, where she discussed the future of tokenization. When asked whether the majority of tokenized volume will be on private or public blockchains, Long replied 'public'.
This is beneficial for the XRP Ledger, a decentralized public Layer 1 blockchain, as it allows tokenized volume to flow to public blockchains. Confidential transfers (XLS-96) and permission delegation (XLS-75) are two features that will be introduced to the XRP Ledger soon.
Confidential transfers allow for institutional-grade privacy for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs), while permission delegation enables accounts to delegate some permissions to other accounts. These features are expected to provide a more secure and efficient experience for users of the XRP Ledger.
