XRP Ledger Shatters Transaction Records with 3254-Block Milestone
XRP Ledger, the core blockchain of Ripple's ecosystem, has set a new record by processing 3,254 transactions in a single block. This milestone was announced by Vet, the XRPL Foundation community leader and validator, on his X account.
Vet noted that unlike Bitcoin, which has a fixed block size, XRP Ledger adjusts its transaction processing target based on network conditions. This means that the number of transactions processed can vary depending on the demand.
However, Vet also emphasized that not all transactions consume equal resources. Small and simple XRP transfers contribute significantly to the high transaction volume, but do not necessarily indicate a network's capacity for complex transactions.
