XRP Ledger Surpasses $1 Billion in Stablecoin Market Capitalization
The XRP Ledger has surpassed $1 billion in stablecoin market capitalization for the first time, marking a significant milestone for the network. According to metrics from RWA.xyz, the XRPL's stablecoin market cap reached $1.09 billion on September 7, up 21.40% over the past 30 days.
This increase in stablecoin demand has also led to a surge in the number of XRPL stablecoin holders, which rose by 33.61% to 80,690 at the time of publication. The top two stablecoins on the XRPL are Ripple USD (RLUSD) and Braza USDB (USDB), with market caps of $1,028,940,435 and $25,961,065, respectively.
The XRP Ledger's active addresses have also seen a 19.04% increase over the past 30 days, coinciding with a notable rise in stablecoin use. As XRPL's on-chain activity increased, the price of XRP has signaled a bullish outlook, jumping by more than 34% over the past 30 days to $1.40.
While the XRP price is down more than 24% year-to-date (YTD), this recent surge in demand for XRPL's stablecoin may play a crucial role in the expected bullish recovery in XRP's price ahead.
