XRP Ledger Surpasses 8 Million Wallet Addresses, Top 10% Threshold Falls
The XRP Ledger has reached a new milestone, surpassing 8 million wallet addresses. This growth in network participation has led to a change in the amount of XRP needed to rank among the largest holders.
According to the latest XRP wallet distribution data, holding 2,151 XRP is now enough to place a wallet in the top 10% of all XRP holders. This threshold has declined over the past few years as the number of wallets has continued to grow.
The XRP rich list shows that entering the top 1% requires around 44,000 XRP, which is significantly lower than previously reported thresholds. At an XRP price of about $1.15, purchasing 2,151 XRP would cost approximately $2,500, while at a hypothetical market capitalization matching Bitcoin's, XRP could trade above $20 per token.
Analyst Crypto AiMan points out that long-term investors may see current prices as an accumulation opportunity, although future price performance remains uncertain. The XRP price has dropped significantly from its previous peak of around $3.50, leaving the token down by roughly 65-70% from those highs.
