XRP Ledger Upgrade Brings Back Features with Security Fixes
The XRP Ledger is set to receive five new features with its upcoming software release, xrpld 3.3.0. These features include Confidential MPT, Batch, Permission Delegation, Sponsored Fees and Reserves, and Dynamic MPT.
Jazzi Cooper, head of product at RippleX, stated that the new release will bring XRPL closer to its goal of supporting tokenized assets at scale for global transfers, trading, collateralizing, and settling.
Two of these features, Batch and Permission Delegation, were previously proposed but failed to gain approval due to critical bugs. Batch was found to have a flaw in how it validated signatures that could have allowed an attacker to execute transactions from any account without holding its keys.
