XRP Ledger Upgrades with Six New Features, Including Atomic Settlement and Sponsor

The XRP Ledger is set to receive one of its biggest updates in recent times, moving from version 3.2.1 to 3.3.0. The upgrade brings six new features, which are expected to have a significant impact on the network's functionality.

One of the most notable additions is the Batch feature, which allows users to bundle up to eight transactions into one, rather than signing each one individually. This is particularly useful for retail apps and institutions that need to enable atomic settlement, ensuring that trades are either fully completed or not at all.

Another significant feature is Permission Delegation, which enables institutions to hand over specific transaction permissions to other parties without giving up overall control. This could expand the use of Ripple's $RLUSD stablecoin, allowing partner banks to help mint it without needing to handle every transaction itself.

The Sponsor feature removes a technical barrier for new users, allowing companies to cover XRP reserve costs on behalf of their customers. This makes it possible for everyday users to interact with the XRPL without needing to understand its underlying reserve requirements.
