XRP Ledger Validator Voting Begins for LendingProtocolV1_1 Amendment
The XRP Ledger has opened validator voting on LendingProtocolV1_1, an amendment that would introduce closed-ended lending vaults and cash-basis accounting for XRPL lending.
This vote is just one step in a three-stage rollout of amendments necessary to launch XRPL lending on mainnet. The other two amendments are LendingProtocol and SingleAssetVault, which must also pass before the lending stack can be activated.
According to the XRP Ledger rules, an amendment needs more than 80% support from trusted validators for two weeks before it can activate. If this threshold is not met, the voting period will restart.
