XRP Ledger Validator Warns Users About Tokenized Stocks and Yield Products

XRP Ledger validator Vet, aka Hussain Zangana, is cautioning users to be extremely careful when dealing with tokenized stocks and yield-generating products on the network.

The validator says that just because a token is issued on the XRP Ledger doesn't mean it's safe or credible. 'Anyone can issue a token; that alone carries no credibility,' Vet said, emphasizing the need for users to do their own research before investing their money.

Vet's warning comes as tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) continue to grow on the XRP Ledger. Former Ripple CTO David Schwartz has predicted that enterprises will increasingly use XRPL to tokenize stocks, securities, money market funds, and loans.

The validator stresses that users should investigate the entity behind a token, including its reputation, jurisdiction, and custodians. Investors should also determine whether the underlying assets actually exist and whether the tokens genuinely represent the equities they claim to track.
